PNGTuber Maker

Upload an idle and a talking image and your avatar reacts to your microphone — the mouth opens and bounces when you speak. Capture it in OBS to be on stream without a webcam.

Add to OBS with Window Capture (pick this browser window). For transparency, use the Green screen background + a Chroma Key filter. Everything stays on your device.

This free PNGTuber maker turns two images into a mic-reactive avatar. Upload an idle picture (mouth closed) and a talking picture (mouth open), grant microphone access, and your avatar swaps to the talking image and bounces whenever you speak — just like a PNGTuber or VTuber. It's the easiest way to be "on camera" without a webcam or a full Live2D model. No signup, and your mic and images never leave your device.

How to use your PNGTuber in OBS

Upload your two images, press Start microphone and talk to test the reaction. Adjust the sensitivity so it opens the mouth when you speak but stays idle when you're quiet. When you're happy, click Clean view and add this browser window to OBS with a Window Capture. For a transparent avatar, set the background to Green screen and add a Chroma Key filter in OBS to remove the green.

No art? Start with the default

A built-in mascot reacts right away, so you can try it before making your own. When you're ready, draw or export two PNGs — one idle, one with the mouth open — and upload them. Transparent PNGs work best.

Tune the reaction

Use the sensitivity slider to match your mic and speaking volume, and the bounce slider to control how much the avatar hops when talking. Scale the size to fit your scene.

Frequently asked questions

How does the PNGTuber react to my voice?

It listens to your microphone in the browser and measures how loud you are. When you speak above the sensitivity threshold, it shows your talking image and bounces; when you're quiet, it shows the idle image.

Do I need to upload images?

No — a default mascot works right away. Upload your own idle and talking PNGs whenever you like for a custom avatar. Transparent PNGs look best.

How do I get it into OBS?

Click Clean view and add the browser window to OBS as a Window Capture. For transparency, use the Green screen background plus a Chroma Key filter in OBS.

Is my microphone private?

Yes. The audio is analysed on your device only to detect volume — nothing is recorded, uploaded or sent anywhere.

Can I use it as an OBS browser source instead?

Window Capture is recommended, because OBS browser sources often block microphone access. Window Capture with a chroma key is the most reliable setup.
