Zalgo Text Generator

Turn normal text into creepy glitch, cursed and corrupted text — adjust the intensity and copy it anywhere.

This free Zalgo text generator turns normal text into glitch, cursed and corrupted text by stacking combining marks above, through and below each letter. Slide the intensity to go from a light glitchy vibe to fully chaotic, then copy and paste it into your Twitch or Kick username, chat, Discord, bio, YouTube comments or social posts for a spooky, edgy look.

What is Zalgo text?

Zalgo (also called cursed or glitch text) uses Unicode combining diacritical marks — the accents and squiggles that normally sit on letters — but stacks many of them at once. Because they're standard Unicode, the "corrupted" look copies and pastes almost anywhere as plain text, no images or fonts required.

Tips

Lower intensity reads better and is less likely to be trimmed by apps that limit combining marks. Toggle the above/middle/below layers for different styles, and hit re-glitch for a fresh random pattern.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Zalgo generator free?

Yes, completely free with no signup. Generate and copy as much cursed text as you like.

Will it work in my Twitch or Discord name?

Often yes, but some platforms strip or limit combining marks in usernames. Lower intensity is more likely to stick; test before saving.

Why does it look different across apps?

Fonts and platforms render stacked combining marks differently, and some cap how many they show. That's normal for Zalgo text.

Is it the same as glitch or cursed text?

Yes — "Zalgo", "glitch text", "cursed text" and "corrupted text" all refer to this stacked-diacritics effect.
